How does it work?

Submit your pitch deck and we will select top candidates to pitch in person at our regional competitions. If you are selected, we will fly you to San Francisco to compete against the top university based startups in the world!

 

Round 1

Submission Deadline: September 7, 2018

Prepare your pitch deck and submit to us for a chance to compete in round 2. Please ensure your deck has the following information:

  • Problem you are solving
  • How your solution is unique and defensible

Be sure to upload your pitch deck as a PDF of no more than 10 slides. Looking for inspiration? Check out pitch decks from top companies across seed to series C stages.

 

Round 2

Regional Competition Dates: November 12-16 2018

Come to the nearest InTeahouse office in a designated EU or US location to pitch to real investors. This is a great opportunity to show that you're more than beautifully designed slides and a brilliant idea. Show off your personality and prove that you can effectively communicate the value of your solution. Remember, investors don't bet on ideas; they bet on people!

What's so special about this round?

  • There will be prizes awarded to top candidates, even if you don't make it to SF
  • All submissions will be receiving real feedback from top investors

Final Round

Global Competition Dates: January 14-15, 2019 @ San Francisco, CA

First, let's talk about what happens before the big competition in SF. You'll spend a couple months working with our InTeahouse team through a series of checkins to refine your pitch, clarify your positioning, research competitors, and develop into a world class startup. The InTeahouse team works with startups on the daily basis and can help make sure you're well prepared for the real life sharks.

In this round, you'll fly to SF and meet with the other top startups from universities around the world. After celebrating how far you all have come, you'll have a chance to explore the city before ultimately getting down to business. 

The Competition:

You will compete in Silicon Valley with your 7 minute pitch before a live audience and judges. The judges will then spend an additional time with judges asking probative questions to better understand your team and product.

The winner will be awarded seed investment from InTeahouse, a trip to China to meet with top investors across the country, and mentorship from top investors.
