Val Livada brings over 35 years of consulting experience to his clients. During his career, Dr. Livada has combined expertise in the areas of strategic planning and organizational dynamics, with a detailed knowledge in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, new business/product development, and R&D management. He has worked with Global 300 companies such as GM, Nokia, BD, Hitachi, startup ventures, regional development organizations and university technology transfer groups. Dr. Livada is Co-founder and Principal; Great Dome Associates, a group of MIT alumni focusing on issues of innovation and entrepreneurship. He is also Principal at IP Vision, Inc. a patent analytics company and Founder of Corporate Entrepreneurship Network, a community of Global 300 corporate professionals, i.e. venture capital, new business development, tech scouting, involved in collaborative innovation, as well as Weybridge Partners, a network of formal and informal practitioners and organizations focusing on the commercialization of technology. He serves on the Boards of Monarch Antenna, Aphios Corporation, AutoHarvest Foundation, and the Built Environment Coalition. Mr Livada is also an advisor to Unitied Technologies Business Innovation Board, Greentown Labs and BGI (a Portugal based venture accelerator). He is Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and Adjunct Lecturer in the Strategy and Innovation Group at Boston University Questrom School of Business.
Jack Klinck is Managing Partner at Hyperplane Venture Capital and CEO at OUISA/SHARENETT, a family-office backed startup in FinTech space developing state of the art trading and investment platforms. Mr. Klinck was Executive Vice President, Member of the Management Committee, and Head of Global Strategy and New Ventures at State Street Corporation from 2006 to 2015. Prior to that he was Vice Chairman and Co-Head of Investor Services at BNY Mellon. He is a hands on technology-savvy innovator and change agent with expertise in P&L management, strategic planning, M&A, sales/marketing/distribution and new product development. Mr. Klinck is also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Corporate Directors – New England Chapter and has served a Board member of Confluence Technologies, Inc., BrightLine Interactive TV, Inc. and Managed Funds Association.
Thomas Ryden is Executive Director of MassRobotics, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help create and grow the next generation of robotics and smart connected device companies. Prior to joining MassRobotics Mr. Ryden was the founder and CEO/COO of VGo Communications, Inc. While at VGo Mr. Ryden oversaw the development and launch of the market leading VGo telepresence robot. Previously, Mr. Ryden was Director of Sales & Marketing at iRobot Corporation. Before iRobot, Mr. Ryden was Founder and President of Exeter Analytical, Inc, a manufacturer of analytical instrumentation. Mr. Ryden is on the board of directors of AUVSI New England and serves at the co-chairman of the robotics cluster of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council. He also is an advisor to a number of robotics start-ups including RailPod and Que Innovations.
Stefano Tresca is a Director at ISEED, a Managing Partner at STARTUP HOME, and Founding Member at LEVEL39, Europe’s largest technology accelerator for finance (fintech) and smart cities. He also serves as advisor and angel investor in 10+ startups. Mr. Tresca was a business lawyer at T AND PARTNERS where he worked in 20+ countries to help companies from China, India and South East Asia build or acquire branches in Europe. He was also head of Regulatory Affairs at ENEL and Corporate Affairs Winf telecomunicazioni. Mr. Tresca is also the author of “Kickstarter UK Handbook” (an Amazon bestseller) and “Biodiversity and Protected Areas” (a book published for the UN Convention of Biological Diversity).
Chengyue Jiao is the General Manager of China Merchants Bank New York Branch. CMB’s US operation currently manages a team of 120 employees, with its major businesses focus on M&A, cross-border asset management, and private banking. The mission of their US operations is to facilitate clients’ investments in the US.
