Announcement of the new partnership between scientist-artist Dan Jay and InTeahouse

We are excited to announce a new partnership between scientist-artist Dan Jay and InTeahouse. Together we will combine Science and Art at InTeahouse’s space and connect these fields to cultivate creativity in high tech and biotech and inspire local youth and help them develop their skills to succeed in the 21st Century workforce. Dan Jay is a Professor, cancer researcher and Dean at Tufts and also Adjunct Professor at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Thus, he has a scientist’s mind and artist’s eye in the same head. His mission is to inspire where art and science meet through art shows, talks and workshops on Science Influenced Art that show how art transforms science leading to innovation.

Delegation Trip to Israel

August 13 - 16, 2019 at Tel Aviv, Haifai, Jerusalem

The first day of the trip on August 13th, our delegation visited Tel Aviv University meeting with Dr. Raveh Avi, Chief Scientific Officer, Blavatnik Center for Drug Discovery and had a fantastic visit and great possibilities for partnership, it was a great start of the trip.

In the afternoon, InTeahouse hosted "Shaoxing Talent Project Cooperation Conference and Roadshow" (人才项目对接活动)  at the Powerhouse Innovation Center at Ramat Hahyal, Tel Aviv.  We had six Israeli companies participated in the Roadshow and met with the delegation members consisted of six government leaders and seven investors from large corporations from Shaoxing.  The Israeli companies that were in the Roadshow as seen in the pictures were: Amiren LLC, Zotapay, Namomill Dental Solutions, Bzigo, Wonder Robotics, and SEBO (Vitual Reality Retail).  The event had over 40 participants from the local entrepreneurs and it was a great turnout.  Thank you for our great partners from Israel - Innoways Plus Ltd with Baruch Tamir and Shaul and Gal Rotem making the event a success.

Inteahouse London Events and Roadhouse

InTeahouse London was pleased to welcome the Shaoxing delegation to the city on Wednesday the 28th of August.

The delegation was gladly hosted by one of the best universities in London, City University, in the heart of the city where we visited the "City Ventures" incubator. The incubator gave a talk about it's programme and history before the delegation was pitched by some of the most promising start up's at the cohort, before a networking session.

Guangzhou Biosciences Industry Promotion Conference

On July 22, InTeahouse co-hosted the Guangzhou Biosciences Industry Promotion Conference with the Guangzhou Municipal Board for International Investment. This was a great opportunity for life sciences companies to meet and network. Attendees also learned about the current healthcare economy in Guangzhou, China as a delegation from the Guangzhou Municipal Board for International Investment was also in attendance.

Director-General Yi Wu as well as Senior Staff Members Zhaoyin Zeng and Yuanhuang Zhang received pitches and presentations from numerous companies and discussed possible future endeavors with many of the attendees there.

Dr. Richard Soll from WuXi AppTec also gave a speech about what he believes the next necessary steps will be in order to further the spread of the healthcare discovery industry worldwide and how Guangzhou’s involvement will be paramount to the overall success of the global research community.

2019 International Investment Summit: Bridging the Gap Between Massachusetts, Israel, and China

InTeahouse, along with the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment, MIT Sloan School of Management, and the New England-Israel Business Council hosted another event to bring together companies and investors from global innovation pinnacles to foster universal cooperation and further progress in the innovation community around the world.

Over 200 attendees and executives from top companies formed relationships and heard remarks from speakers and panels which included Secretary Mike Kennealy, Mayor Dan Rivera, Richard Soll, and Dean Kamen.

2018 New Technology Summit

October 2018

In October 2018, InTeahouse led a delegation of technology companies to China in an effort to match them with potential investors. Led by Vice President of Global Business Development Angela Mah, these companies met with and formed relationships with investors, strategic partners, manufacturers, and heads of supply chains.

As a result of this trip, new partnerships were formed and each company part of the delegation gained invaluable relationships to help achieve each of their organization’s goals.

Shaoxing - Boston Innovation and Collaboration Reception

Located in China’s Zhejiang province, Shaoxing has built a booming economy through the development of local industry. With one of the highest GDP’s in the nation and an abundance in capital, they are interested in exploring the international market with the goal of developing new, cutting-edge technologies. They partnered with InTeahouse to bring a delegation of their top CEO's to Boston so they could meet and discuss collaborations with our local community of innovators and entrepreneurs. 

Capital Raising in Hong Kong for the New Economy

Stock Exchange of Hong Kong's (SEHK) Senior Vice President Michael Chan came to our headquarters in Cambridge to discuss listing processes, requirements and advantages including newly-released rules for pre-revenue companies. Mr. Chan was also one of the keynote speakers at Bio2018 and participants were given a chance to meet him in-person at this exclusive event.  

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK) is ranked number one in the world for IPO funds raised in total over the last nine years. SEHK has a diverse and growing global investor base with Mainland Chinese participation doubling in four years which has attracted a wide range of issuers including New Economy companies that have raised billions of dollars. 

Women4Good

Women4Good connects Bay Area women who have a passion for social impact. They work at corporations, nonprofits, startups. They fundraise, volunteer, and empower each other to be our best selves. 

InTeahouse partnered with them to host their June meeting. Kerry Rodgers, the Social Impact Consultant at AirBnB, facilitated an open discussion where participants were invited to share their challenges and questions.  

Guangdong and Massachusetts 35-Year Partnership Celebration and Investment Summit

On May 11, 2018, InTeahouse partnered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and The People’s Government of Guangdong Province, P. R. China to host an investment summit celebrating 35 years of innovative partnership between Massachusetts and Guangdong Province. We were able to bring together over 80 top companies from Massachusetts and Guangdong to network and discuss potential future partnerships and collaborations! 

This was also a wonderful opportunity for leaders from our two governments to come together to celebrate 35 years of successful, innovative partnership. A special thank you to Massachusetts officials including Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Secretary Jay Ash, Assistant Secretary Nam Pham of Business Development and International Trade, State Representative Donald Wong, State Representative Tackey Chan, and State Representative Keiko Orrall for making time to meet with the Vice-Governor Ouyang Weimin of Guangdong Province and his delegation.

FinTech and Life Sciences Summit

March 17 - 31, 2018

InTeahouse is starting it's 2018 season with a FinTech and Life Sciences Summit. Participants had the opportunity to meet with potential investors, manufacturers and business partners in Shaoxing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing. This was a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and make new connections in one of the largest consumer and business markets.
